Welcome to the BIA NEPA Tracking System 2.0
The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Tracking System is a web-based database application managed by the Indian Affairs (IA) to track and manage data for NEPA projects. Division of Environmental Services and Cultural Resources Management (DESCRM) in the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is responsible for tracking NEPA Actions – and overseeing and coordinating IA’s NEPA compliance.
The Department of the Interior (DOI) has updated and partially rescinded its regulations on implementation of NEPA at 43 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 46 and in the Departmental Manual at Part 516, Chapter 1. Please note that all the historic documents from NEPA Tracker 1.0 (2005 - 2019) have been migrated to NEPA Tracker 2.0 as of 2019 and NEPA Tracker 1.0 is no longer operational.
